Forest School Canada
Currently, more than 10 thousand Forest Schools exist in the UK alone. The concept is slowly developing in Canada thanks to the founders of the newly developed Forest School Canada which was launched in the Spring of 2012 as an education initiative of the ‘Child and Nature Alliance of Canada.'.
In early 2012 FSC approached training providers in the UK to help conceptualize, plan and deliver a Canadian model of teacher education programs, starting with a course called the ‘Forest and Nature School Practitioners’ Course’.
This course is equivalent to the Level 3 FS Training Course in the UK, but has been adapted greatly for a Canadian context.
